Action Based Conversation Frameworks~Professional Learning for Leaders

In an effort to make the professional learning reflect the work of building level leaders, the Action Based Conversation Frameworks were created.  Grounded in the National Board Principal Standards, the Architecture of Accomplished Leadership, and the 9 Core Propositions; the Action Based Conversation Frameworks facilitates professional learning around leadership and how to become an accomplished leader.  Drafted in 2010, the Principal Standards remain extremely relevant and pertinent today​ as shown through a crosswalk with the 2017 PSEL standards.

The NYSED teacher annual performance review is based on the seven NYS teaching standards.  This graphic organizer shows building leaders how these 7 standards cross-walk with the 5 Core Propositions and what type of evidence of accomplished practice is present for each.
